Hello! My online codename is Alyianna Baggins, but you may call me Alyianna or simply Anna if you wish. Yes, I am related to the famous Frodo and Bilbo Baggins, and I actually live quite near to Bag End.
Okay, okay...I only wish that were true. I am a North American sixteen-year-old teenage girl, who has been a total fanatic of Middle Earth ever since she read The Hobbit when she was eight (or was it nine?) years old. I actually created this website for a Special Projects course, but I had wanted to make a website like this for quite a while. However, I was really given the inspiration for this website by the wonderful website Arwen Undomiel. I strongly recommend checking out this website.
I am a Roman Catholic, and very proud of it (actually, if you know anything about Tolkien, you'll know that he was convert to Roman Catholicism). I live with my parents and eight-year-old sister Mia. I am 1/2 Polish and 1/8 Scottish. I was homeschooled ever since the beginning, but I transferred to an online school called St. Paul's Academy in grade 10. My favourite subjects are English and this Special Projects course. I also like Math and Bio when they make sense. ;)
I will first talk about my Middle Earth interests before I go onto other interests. My favourite character in all of Tolkien's works that I have read is Frodo Baggins, whom I believe is the true hero of the books, as he, only a little hobbit, carried the heavy burden of the Ring for so long and so far. My favourite relationship in Tolkien's books is the beautiful relationship of Frodo and Sam (indeed, in all books I have ever read or movies I have watched), so it only makes sense that Sam is my second favourite character, who helped his Master, Frodo, ever step of the way to Mordor (and even further than this). My next favourite characters would be Eowyn, Pippin, Faramir, Bilbo, Aragorn, etc. The one Tolkien character that I would most be like would definitely be Pippin.
I have read LOTR about six times, and I am on my third time of watching the movies (as I didn't get to watch them until I was thirteen), and I am eagerly anticipating The Hobbit movie (as you will probably know if you follow my news blog, where I post all news on The Hobbit production). My favourite LOTR actor/actress would be Elijah Wood (big surprise).
Besides LOTR, my other interests are listening to music, reading and writing books, doing things on the computer like blogging and watching YouTube videos, and singing. My favourite music artist is Taylor Swift. I also like Enya (who I discovered through LOTR - no big surprise), Lady Antebellum, One Direction, Meredith Andrews, Tenth Avenue North, Casting Crowns, and soundtrack music (LOTR first, of course, Narnia, classic Disney msuic, and Immediate Music - yes, I know the latter isn't exactly soundtrack music). My favourite book genre is fantasy, but I enjoy most genres. My favourite books after LOTR are The Chronicles of Narnia, the John Paul II High series by Christian M. Frank, the Fairy Stories Retold by Regina Domain, The Edge Chronicles by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell, The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart, and The Prydain Chronicles by Lloyd Alexander. For movies, my favourite genre next to fantasy is Disney.
My favourite colour is blue, but I also like pink and purple. I like almost all foods besides seafood (other than some fish) and avacados, so I don't really have a favourite. My favourite flower is lilacs.
